Photoquai 2009

Sanan Aleskerov has always wanted to relive his childhood dreams through photography. His choice of subjects reflects a constant effort to remain attuned to those dreams and to go deeper into the heart of things, as if seeking a response to the ideas of his solitary early years. This is why it is not individual characteristics but the relationships between people that his work indirectly portrays. Working on his photographic projects has gradually become a way of filling his solitude and coming to a better understanding of human nature. He mentions the work of Josef Sudek as being close to his own poetic world and compositional approach.
